EARLVILLE - Earlville Opera House (EOH) is pleased for the return of Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience to our 1892 Main Stage on Saturday, February 14 at 7 p.m., for a St. Valentine’s Day Mardi Gras Mambo party.

For over 40-plus years, two-time Grammy award winning, 8th generation Louisiana Creole, Terrance Simien, has been shattering the myths and often misinformation, about what his traditional Zydeco roots music is – and is not. It most certainly is Black American roots music, and it is music born of the African American/Black and mixed race French speaking Creoles of South Louisiana.
Simien has become one of the most respected and accomplished artists in American roots music today. He and his band mates have performed nearly 10,000 concerts, toured millions of miles to over 45 countries during their eventful career. Their music has been placed in multiple major studio theatre release films, including Disney animated films, TV shows and radio commercials. They’ve shared studio and stage with legends Stevie Wonder, Art Neville, Los Lobos, Marcia Ball, the late Robert Palmer, Taj Mahal, Dr. John, the Meters, Alan Toussaint, Paul Simon and Dave Matthews Band, to name a few. Simien’s band has been cultural ambassadors for their country since the mid 1980’s as part of the U.S. State Department ongoing cultural diplomacy tours.

Tickets for this incredible experience are $60 and $54 for members (become a member!), $14 for youth 17 and below, with college students half off general admission with valid ID.
EOH is offering a special “Sweetheart Deal”: Two tickets for $100 which includes two free Valentine’s themed drinks (must be 21 years+) and chocolate truffles. Our Arts Café opens for sweet treats and beverages at 6pm to kick off this Mardi Gras Mambo party (cash only at the café).

Earlville Opera House Arts Center is located at 18 East Main Street in the quaint Village of Earlville, NY. At EOH we believe accessibility and inclusion are critical to everything we do. Our historic Opera House has been upgraded to ensure accessibility throughout the building, including a hearing loop system in our 1892 theater provided by Hamilton Hearing LLC.
